Overview
XypherCore was a game server and VPS hosting business I founded and ran solo as a student-entrepreneur from October 2025 to June 2026. Customers could order game servers and virtual private servers; I owned the product experience, infrastructure, and customer support.
Challenge
Deliver stable hosting with a clear ordering experience and a responsive management interface, while operating Linux servers and virtualization alone, with direct customer contact.
What I built
- Marketing and product website for game servers and VPS (PHP, Laravel, Tailwind CSS, HTML/CSS), including game selection, location choice, packaging, and checkout flows.
- Server infrastructure on Linux with Proxmox virtualization, focused on stable provisioning and day-to-day operations.
- Customer-facing control experience based on customized Pterodactyl with Blueprint, branding, configuration, and operational setup, covering server management, real-time status monitoring, resource control, and a clean interface.
- Direct technical support and customer service throughout the lifecycle of the platform.
Panel foundation: customized Pterodactyl + Blueprint. Marketing site, branding, Linux/Proxmox operations, and customer support: built and run by me.
Outcome
Operated successfully through June 2026 with strong customer satisfaction, 4.5 stars on Trustpilot (Excellent) across 16 reviews. The platform was consciously wound down in June 2026 when I chose to end my studies early and move fully into professional work.
