Privacy policy
If you contact me or visit this site, I may process some personal data so I can reply, keep the site working, and (only if you allow it) understand traffic. I handle that carefully and only for clear purposes. This page explains what I collect, why, and what rights you have. Questions? Mail [email protected].

Who is responsible?
I’m Milo Vandaele from Lede, Belgium. I’m responsible for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].
When does this policy apply?
It applies to personal data processed through milovandaele.com and related pages of this portfolio (including the contact form, language preference, cookie choices, optional analytics, and spam protection on the form).
What are personal data?
Personal data are any details that can identify you as a person. Examples: your name, email address, message content, IP address, or device/browser information.
Whose data do I process, and how do I get it?
I process data from people who visit this site or contact me. Most data comes directly from you (for example when you send the contact form or choose cookie settings). Some technical data can come from your browser or from providers that help run the site (email delivery, spam checks, optional analytics).
Which data do I process, why, and for how long?
Contact form
When you send a message I process your name, email address, and message content so I can reply. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f) (legitimate interest in answering inquiries) and/or Art. 6 (1) (b) where the message relates to a possible collaboration.
Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any short follow-up, then deleted or archived according to normal mailbox practice.
Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help block bots and abuse. Google may process technical data (such as IP address and browser/device signals) for that check. This is needed to keep the form usable. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f) (legitimate interest in securing the form against spam).
Google processes that data under its own terms. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. More about related cookies is in the Cookie policy.
Essential site preferences
Language preference and cookie consent choices are stored locally in your browser so the site can work and remember your decision. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f).
Analytics (optional)
Only if you consent, Google Analytics may collect usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device/browser information, and referral source. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent). You can withdraw consent anytime via Cookie settings. Retention follows the Google Analytics property settings.
Who receives your data?
- Resend (email provider), to deliver contact messages to me.
- Google, for reCAPTCHA on the contact form, and for Analytics only after consent.
I do not sell personal data. I only share what is needed for those services to work.
Where is data stored?
I aim to keep processing in the EU/EEA where possible. Providers such as Google and Resend may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How is data secured?
I use reasonable technical and organisational measures for a small personal site: HTTPS, access limited to my accounts, and providers that offer industry-standard security. No method is 100% secure, but I take care not to collect more than needed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to:
- access your personal data
- correct inaccurate data
- delete data
- restrict or object to certain processing
- withdraw analytics consent at any time
- lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Belgium: Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données)
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. If your question is about cookie consent, include your consent ID and date from Cookie settings.
